Update and 2010

I'm 32 weeks pregnant! and things are going really well. My husband and I are preparing for the baby - just 8 more weeks to go!

My husband and I will be going out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday but once we are back, my "pregnancy vacation" is over and it's back to business!
I'll be revamping my website & portfolio and including a calendar of my availability.
On a personal note, we are having a baby BOY in April!!!

We're Expecting!

My husband and I are thrilled to announce that we will be expecting our first child in April 2009! So far, I've had a good share of morning (and night) sickness but thankfully things are easing up!

Wedding & Portrait Photographers International 2008

After Tina & Loren's wedding (congratulations guys!), my husband and I packed our bags and headed for Las Vegas to attend the Wedding and Portrait Photographer's International conference. I spent Tuesday attending various classes as well as the trade show.

Workshop Photographs

My husband and I just returned from Pennsylvania and it's definitely wonderful to be back. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape but we're happy to return to the nice mild weather here in Southern California.
I learned tons from the Wiebner's workshop and brought home a lot of ideas and inspiration. Here are just some of my favorite photographs:

2008 Brings New Changes to Zenia Photography!

I just finished my first full year of photographing weddings and I have had such a great time doing it! I've been very lucky to have truly amazing clients and even luckier to have had the opportunity to photograph their weddings.
2007 has allowed me to develop my creative style as an artist and has allowed me to grow my business. With that said, I've been working hard on a new website with a look that reflected who I am as a photographer: clean, modern, and elegant.
I've already photographed my first two weddings of the year (congratulations to Peggy & Jimmy and Tobie & Aaron!) and I can't wait to experience the rest of 2008!

Happy Holidays!

 I photographed my last wedding of the year yesterday and it was a lovely end to a fantastic season. I know Sovirya & Sophyrun were stressed out throughout parts of the wedding - but it was incredibly endearing to see Sophyrun running around trying to make sure everything was going to happen as planned.
I felt it was a fitting coincidence that my last wedding of the year would take place at Stauffer Chapel where my first wedding this year took place.
At the end of the night, Sovirya tossed the garter and Sophyrun the bouquet - and everyone let loose. It was wonderful to be a part of! (More of their photographs to come.)

Yesterday I attended a 10 hour wedding photography seminar in San Diego with two of the leading wedding/portrait photographers, Bambi Cantrell and Jerry Ghinois. As any kind of photographer, it is absolutely necessary to continue learning - whether about lighting, posing, or business skills in order to keep your business and inspiration fresh.
Unfortunately, we were asked not to publish any of the photos that we took so I cannot show some of the fabulous stuff we did. Suffice it to say though, the seminar was invaluable in teaching me how two of the best photographers work.Labels: news |
